InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), has signed a management agreement with Origin Property Public Company Limited to bring Staybridge Suites to Asia Pacific. The all-suite extended stay brand will launch in Thailand Staybridge Suites Bangkok Thonglor in 2019, in association with Nomura Real Estate Development Company Limited and Staybridge Suites Chonburi Siracha in 2020.

During the week of 3-9 December, the Canadian hotel industry reported occupancy rose 4.5% to 59.5%, ADR increased 4.4% to 141.16 Canadian dollars ($109.96) and RevPAR jumped 9% to CA$83.96 ($65.40).

Destinations around the world welcomed 1.1 billion international tourists between January and October 2017, according to the latest UNWTO World Tourism Barometer. This represents a 7% increase on the same period of last year, or 70 million more international arrivals. Strong demand for international tourism across world regions reflects the global economic upswing.

Preliminary November data from STR shows the London hotel market experienced a 2.8% occupancy decrease to 83.7% during the month, while ADR rose 1% to £153.96 ($205.64) and RevPAR fell 1.8% to £128.87 ($172.13).

When we think about Airbnb, its easy to see how theyve become such an incredible success story. For dreamers and movers alike, Airbnb has continually excelled not in selling physical accommodation, but selling a destination. Over the years, I have had the pleasure of visiting a number of the worlds most beautiful destinations, to meet with and stay at some truly incredible hotels. As a traveller, however, I know my first destination was not, in fact, at any of those places.

SkyWest, Inc., (NASDAQ: SKYW) today reported 144,180 block hours in November 2017, compared to 148,707 block hours in November 2016, a decrease of 4,527 or 3.0%. The net decrease was consistent with SkyWest's fleet transition plan to improve the mix of aircraft in its fleet by adding new E175 aircraft, while reducing its 50-seat jets.
